Warm Up in Iceland

A mid-winter trip to Iceland sounded chilly, I was apprehensive until I saw the cheap flights and hot excursions Jen found. Luckily, the week we went, it was sub-zero temperatures at home and mid to low 30F in Iceland .. we actually found warmer weather than staying home.

And with Sky Lagoon a balmy 104F, we really had it made!

Polar Plunge at South Shore

With a name like "South Shore", you would think it would be a little warmer. But no: air temperature of about 50F was nice if not for the stiff breeze over 10mph and a water temp of about 42F. Waves were nice - there were a few surfers, with full wetsuit regalia. I saw only one other brave soul splashing about.
