Jen and I and three other couples took a trip to St. Maarten to celebrate one couple's 40th anniversary. They had all come with us to celebrate our 20th anniversay, and since this couple originally honeymooned in St. Maarten, we all revisited with them to celebrate! We stayed at the Sonesta Ocean Point Resort in Maho Bay, a beautiful, adults-only all-inclusive.
The weather was great - a sneak preview to late spring / early summer back home and we took the time to relax by the pools, ocean and do some sight seeing. We watched planes land overhead [video], rented a van and toured the island, seeing Fort Amsterdam, the capital cities of Philipsburg and Marigot, Rotary Point, Orient Beach and Mullet Bay.
I did some ocean swimming each day crossing Maho Bay and took one of my daily runs to the French border.
